Yxfilm AB är is a production company based in Gothenburg founded by Jonas Eskilsson.
Jonas Eskilsson, born in 1982 in Helsingborg, Sweden, is a producer, director, and screenwriter based in Gothenburg. He studied at Valand Academy and went on working his way up in the swedish film industry. Jonas worked as Second Assistant Director on Lars von Trier's Melancholia and gained recognition for his short film A TREMOR, which was nominated for the Startsladden Award at the Göteborg Film Festival in 2012.
As the founder of his production company, Yxfilm, he produced his first feature film SUMMER’S END, part of the Moving Sweden initiative. The film debuted at the Göteborg International Film Festival (GIFF) in 2016 and was subsequently broadcast on SVT the same year.
